A baroque expression with bold, enduring appeal. The Empress Low Chandelier from Lasvit was designed by Jakub Berdych to echo the shape of vintage chandeliers from the era of Empress Maria Theresa; its design draws heavily on his background with traditional Czech crafting substances like porcelain and glass to create a single-tier structure of candelabra lamping accompanied by curving, structural arms that extend around it. The arms and bobeche sections hold a series of translucent bangles below, glittering with an ambient arrangement of reflected light.
Founded in 2007 in Liberic, Czech Republic by Leon Jakimic, Lasvit brings premier and sculptural glass arrangements to the world. Taken from the Czech words for ‘love’ and ‘light,’ Lasvit provides a series of glass lighting and home décor products crafted with utmost care and skill.
