Like something that came from a surreal dream. The Echo Floor Lamp from Tala by David Week is like something that came from a surreal dream. The bodice of the stem leans asymmetrically and flows up to meet spherical shades of diffused light. David Weeks is a designer who has been featured in publications like Architectural Digest and Elle Decor. All his pieces are made from a Brooklyn studio by hand with a team of artisans. The Echo Collection was built on the concept that asymmetrical design is best achieved by starting at the end and working back. Resultingly the awkwardness is relieved by an unconventionally balanced composition.
Tala is a UK-based company that marries an eco-friendly ethos with a passion for great design. Their LED lights are painstakingly researched, developed and engineered in-house in London, taking advantage of a rich tradition of British manufacturing and the worldwide influence of a global city.
