Verifiably vintage. The Castor Deadstock Cannonball Multi-Light Pendant features three stout spherical shades that were salvaged from a defunct lighting factory. Retrofitted with wide angle glass diffusers, the included shade spreader spaces the fixed-length lights 120° apart, primarily due to the necessity to keep the chunky globes from clanging against each other as they hang from a 5" canopy. Regardless of the need, we love the finished aesthetic.
Rock 'n' roll lumberjacks. That pretty much sums up the punk rock-loving, Toronto-based design team of Castor Design. Experiments in upcycling have resulted in an eclectic array of contemporary lighting and accessories. Castor Design pieces are smart, industrial and elegant--and definitely tongue-in-cheek. Salvaged materials are given a new, bright life, such as old burnt-out light bulbs being turned into a shade for another fixture.
