Key Features
The Coordinates LED Double Wall / Flushmount from FLOS plots out a point with a composition of elegant shapes inspired by the familiar geometric Cartesian grid. Creating with timelessness in mind, designer Michael Anastassiades’ works boil down ideas to a composition of essential forms that balance function, aesthetics, and character. Anastassiades takes the points and lines one would draw on a graph paper and imagines them with an extruded metal construction. A piece of circular hardware marks a point on one’s wall or ceiling. A pair of extruded rods frame the circle and cross each other to suggest an X and Y-axis. These metal rods also contain LEDs and an opal diffuser lens for uniform light diffusion. The piece turns on to produce an architectural, linear silhouette and a clean, dynamic glow.
FLOS was first established in 1962 in Merano, Italy, to produce high quality modern lighting. This Italian lighting company continues to do so to this day by collaborating with talented international designers and researching the latest lighting technologies and materials. Resulting FLOS lighting fixtures are daring and provocative, yet uphold the fundamental principles of good design.
