Designed by Jean Prouve in 1953, the Vitra Compas Direction Desk is architecturally intriguing and minimalist at the same time. The slim splayed legs are evocative of the points on a compass (or "compas," in French). The compact solid wood top adds natural balance to the industrial molded sheet steel legs while still maintaining the overall clean-lined look.
