Key Features
Direct light funneled through pure, handcrafted form. The Cleo Pendant from Vistosi treats the space to an alluring focal point of refined blown glass. This pendant’s use of limited materials comes to underline designer Barbara Maggiolo’s passion for glass and its atmospheric qualities. The pendant receives a fine cord that visually disappears to produce a floating illusion. Glass artists mouth-blow the shades into clean cone forms with subtle contours that showcase the handcrafted process. The cone shades shield the eyes from the light source’s brilliant glare. The light filters through the shade to create a welcoming atmosphere and funnels through the wide opening as a neat down glow.
One of Italy’s most prestigious and prolific names in Murano glassmaking, Vistosi specializes in hand-blown glass lighting fixtures with an expertise that can be traced to the 1500s. Officially incorporated as Vetreria Vistosi in 1989 with the Moretti family, Vistosi continues to invest in new technologies and methods of production compatible with the historical craft, resulting in an extensive collection of highly decorative yet durable lighting designs.
