Key Features
A modern light fixture for night owls. The Civetta Table Lamp by Martinelli Luce was designed by Emiliana Martinelli to offer a soft, indirect light while accenting a tabletop with a distinct look. Translating to “owl” in Italian, this cylindrical fixture boats a flat top with a frosted diffuser to soften the light and allow most of its beam to funnel downward over a tabletop. A curved cutout at its base allows the light to spill out and illuminate a small space without waking those who are non-nocturnal.
For more than five decades, Martinelli Luce has offered artistic lamps and pendant lights inspired by nature and the simplicity of geometric shapes. The brand is most known for its now-famous, bat-inspired Pipistrello table lamp, which was first introduced in 1965. Free-flowing curves, sharp angles and wave-like motions are all common features within Martinelli Luce’s collections, lending each piece a minimalist yet artistic feel.

Bulb shapes are denoted with a letter, which describes the shape, and a number, which indicates the size. The number indicates the diameter of the light bulb at its widest part in eighths of an inch.Base

The average amount time that a bulb is expected to last.CRI
CRI = color rendering index. This number, which can go from 0 to 100, measures the ability of a light or bulb accurately renders colors. The higher the number, the better, with most quality bulbs these days measuring at least in the 80s.Manufacturer IDs: view
