Key Features
Elegant tiers and a hint of history define the Produzione Privata Chapeau Table Lamp. The silhouette is reminiscent of antique blown-glass insulators, and given a scientific flavor with the fuse-like blown borosilicate glass tubing and shade. Chapeau (meaning "hat" in French) is capped with a softly tiered aluminum shade that echoes the more defined tiers of the base. Designer Michele De Lucchi's architectural influence is abundantly evident in this precisely engineered lamp that erases the line between art and artifact.
Founded in 1990 by famed Italian designer Michele de Lucchi, Produzione Privata is a small-scale creative workshop dedicated to employing passionate artisans and exploring unique craft techniques. Among the resulting works are exquisite blown glassware and ceramics, which have been put to sparkling good use in a range of distinctive modern pendant lighting, table lamps and decorative vases.
