- Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Use a microfiber cloth to buff out fingerprints. Over time, polished brass will develop a rich natural patina. If you have no patience for patina, use a brass polish. Please note that our brass is coated in a protective topcoat that will wear away with the use of brass polish. To preserve the topcoat, use Novus Level 1 for cleansing instead. Never use harsh chemical or abrasive cleaners that could erode protective topcoats.
