Designed by Anderssen & Voll to expand upon tradition while breaking restrictive rules, the studio draws inspiration from the clean silhouettes of Scandinavian mid-century design and the impressive, engaging shapes of Brazilian modernism. The flat planes and sleek surfaces of the chair’s wood base make a striking impression, its rich, warm hues and direct lines contrasting well with the soft surface of the seat and back above. The upholstered back, seat, and armrests all overlap the flat-surfaced woodwork, providing soothing support and plush comfort.
