Key Features
The BK10 Dining Chair by Carl Hansen is a rustic piece that feels like a breath of fresh air for any indoor or outdoor space. The chair was originally designed in 1959, by the great Danish architect Bodil Kjaer, who used teak wood to provide a contrasting, enriched arm chair. The chair features solid pieces of strong, long-lasting teak wood put together. The boards of teak features grains and curves in the wood that make each chair unique. The simplistic and modern chair can be used outdoors at a dining table, or inside.
When he founded his company in 1908 in Odense, Denmark, Carl Hansen was determined to prove that high-quality craftsmanship and efficient mass production could work well together. To this day, Carl Hansen & Son furniture--mostly the continually popular Danish Modern designs of the 1930s through the 1960s--is swiftly produced by hand, combining the best materials possible with traditional woodworking techniques and the latest manufacturing technologies.
