The Toikka Bird - Capercaillie is made of mouth blown glass and adorned with multiple colors with a small dash of metallic. The delicate structure is mostly dark brown, save for hints of greens and blues in the plumage and wings. The head is in a deep wine red, complementing the sophisticated color pallet.

From humble beginnings as a small glass factory, today Iittala offers a wide variety of modern Scandinavian housewares that demonstrate the company's commitment to design quality and product longevity. Based in Helsinki, Finland, Iittala continues to make cookware, tableware and other home accessories that are both lovely and useful, based primarily on the forward-thinking philosophies of design icons Kaj Franck and Alvar Aalto.
