A metallic shine is a great way to update or enhance the modern bathroom. From lighting fixtures to furnishings, using metal as the material brings a sense of sleek and sophistication. In particular, brass is a worthy metallic option for uplifting the décor of the space. Light coming off of a brass fixture or brass surface will brighten the space in function and form and bring a reflection that further illuminates the space while bringing a clean look that will appeal to family and friends and other guests. When the light fixtures and furnishings are installed and complete, it is time to finish the bathroom with a set of brass bathroom accessories.

Accessories are just as important as light fixtures and furnishings in terms of creating a space that feels complete. Often, because they are so small, they are overlooked, but typically the small and subtle things provide more to the surrounding space than initially realized. So, having the right amount of small, decorative objects around or functional accessories will enhance the appeal of the bathroom, creating a lived-in look and feel rather than an empty space no one actually uses. Accessories can range from toothbrush holders, hand soap trays and toilet brush docks all the way to towel or toilet paper holders. Other Considerations

Even if the accessories are all in place and everything looks complete, consider the need and addition of bathroom storage cabinets. Cabinets will provide additional storage space for towels and toilet paper and other things, and they can be used to place accessories inside that don’t need to be shown to guests when they come over. The top of the cabinet, if there is enough space between the cabinet and the ceiling, can be a great spot to add houseplants. The green of plants will immediately uplift the space, contrasting in an appealing way with all of the metal fixtures and shine throughout the room.
