The Aurelia Bold S 22 LED Pendant from Leucos Lighting reimagines the ethereal, glowing body of the jellyfish through hidden lighting and the ancient art of glassblowing. Designer Patrick Jouin's work puts a decorative spin on industrial design. In this piece, Jouin seeks to satisfy one's ambient and task lighting needs with a 2-part LED module. This module rests along the base of the low-profile metal housing that tapers up to display a gorgeous finish. The LED module's up light accentuates the blown glass shade's jellyfish-like curves with atmospheric, concentric highlights. The opposite side of the module glazes the floor or table surface with a warm, cozy light.
Steeped in rich Venetian tradition, Leucos blends Old World glass craftsmanship with 21st century engineering in its quest to explore cutting-edge techniques and innovative aesthetics in lighting.
