Key Features
A refined aesthetic for a modern taste in your home. The Applique De Marseille Wall Sconce from Nemo was designed by Le Corbusier for his Parisian Rue Nungesser et Coli apartment in 1933, and he referred to the sconce’s cones as “the most beautiful forms.” Le Corbusier’s work centers around straightforward and thoughtful forms, creating distinct images with precise functionality. An ultra-compact backplate makes this piece well suited for cramped spaces. The light source is held behind the sculptural cones, and the light shines out for an even ambiance.
Founded in 1993 by Franco Cassina and Carlo Forcolini in Italy, Nemo was established to recreate the lighting pieces that best represented the "Golden Age" of Italian lighting design of the 1960s and 70s. Nemo acquired ItalianaLuce five years later, offering a line of clean, relaxed modern lighting that provided an informal counterpoint to the vintage mid-century authenticity found in Nemos modernist line of Franco Albini-designed lighting.
