Key Features
The 84 Wall Sconce by Bocci is a fluid design by sculptor and designer Omer Arbel that beautifully displays layered glass and metal. A copper mesh basket surrounds white glass as it is immersed into hot clear glass. Capturing the soft pillowed form of the white glass as it is pushed through its mesh surroundings, the thick outer layer magnifies and displays its delicate shape. With a warm and coppery glow, each piece has its own unique qualities since the inner mesh sometimes crinkles and folds, and the thick outer sphere develops its own soft shape during the creation process.
Based in Vancouver, Canada, Bocci was started in 2005 by Omer Arbel as an in-house design company dedicated to creating exemplary products through material research. Bocci’s facilities handle all stages of development and production, including a multi-disciplinary collaboration between designers, architects and artisans. This cooperative environment excels in material advancement, constantly evolving Bocci’s collection with an emphasis on bespoke and high-quality product design.
