Originally conceived back in 1940, the Vitra Organic Chair by Charles Eames & Eero Saarinen wasn't able to be put into mass production until manufacturing technology finally caught up with it years later. The organic shape of the seat includes a slight backward tilt, designed to comfortably accommodate humans' natural seating requirements.
Founded in Switzerland in 1950, Vitra produces intelligent and inspiring furniture and accessories for the home, office and other public spaces.
