"To create balance through design work." That's what drives acclaimed designer Marco Acerbis. In the FontanaArte Polaris Floor Lamp, he uses an innovative rotational molding process to structure varnished nylon. The result is an evolving, upwardly flowing shape, with a bright glow that rises toward the sky, much like the Northern Star it is named after. Available in two colors with a satin steel base.
Renowned Italian architect, designer and painter Gio Ponti founded FontanaArte in 1932 as the artistic division of glassmaker Luigi Fontana. Ponti used Fontana glass to design lighting filled with his own visionary brand of sensuous, poetic modernism. Today, more than 75 year later, the innovative artists at FontanaArte continue Ponti's legacy, creating expressive and transformative modern lighting designs.
