Neil Poulton

Neil Poulton is an acclaimed industrial designer known for his innovative and contemporary approach to product design. Born in Scotland in 1963, Poulton's design philosophy revolves around simplicity, functionality and elegance. Known for his work in the technology and lighting industries, his designs for Artemide have won him numerous awards, including the Red Dot Design Award in 2014, the International Design Award in 2016 and the European Product Design Award in 2017. Poulton's designs often feature clean lines and forms and user-friendly interfaces, demonstrating a deep understanding of user needs and interactions. In 2008, Poulton was included in Time magazine’s “The Design 100” celebrating the people behind influential design. The Centre Georges Pompidou Museum in Paris features six designs by Poulton on permanent display in its contemporary collection. He briefly worked for French designer Philippe Starck in Paris from 1991 to 1992 and has lived and worked in Paris since then.
