Created by Maurer and Eckard Knuth in 2000 as part of Maurer's continuous experimentation with pairing the latest lighting technology with beautiful design. The Ingo Maurer Holonzki Wall Sconce features a highly realistic holographic image of an incandescent bulb--one that actually appears to be screwed into the real socket. This image is revealed by the overhead light, which is powered via the socket's pull chain.
For more than 40 years Ingo Maurer has created somewhat irreverent and thought-provoking designs in a method that is more exo-modern than contemporary. These experimentalist collections enliven fashion runways, monuments and private homes, giving Ingo Maurer lighting a name that resounds in the minds of the design-forward.
