The Global Lighting Story
Based in Mt. Vernon, NY, Global Lighting was founded in 1991 by Larry Lazin as a means of importing the best European lighting into the US. More than just a savvy businessman, Lazin brought plenty of prior design and lighting experience to the table, including a stint immediately prior as the founder of SoHo-based Lazin Lighting.
Lazin's eye for fine contemporary lighting design has resulted in an impressive collection of contemporary designer lighting from Spain and Italy.

A Fun Fact About Global Lighting
When it comes to lighting design, Larry Lazin knows what he's talking about. He started his career with a degree as a glassblower in the mid-'70s. That segued into industrial design and a brief stint with Lightolier (part of the Philips Group) before founding his own lighting company in SoHo in 1983.
Noteworthy Lighting from Global Lighting
Strongly adhering to the clean simplicity and functionality embodied in Scandinavian design, the domed silhouette of the Secto Design Victo Pendant 4250 is crafted - like all designs from the Finnish company - from delicate curved slats of birch. Light shines freely through the open framework, creating warm ambient lighting as well as useful downlight.
