The Philips Forecast Story
Philips Forecast Lighting was born as Forecast Lighting in the beautiful Southern California sunshine in the 1970s. Their strong reputation garnered attention from Lightolier, who acquired the lighting company in 1992 and moved the company to Elgin, Illinois to give them more room to grow. Philips Lighting most recently took over in 2008, supporting the original Forecast focus of providing excellent, well-priced contemporary lighting for today's modern homes.
Why We Love Philips Forecast Lighting
Philips Forecast's outdoor lighting collection is modern and versatile, emphasizing simple, thick lines, contemporary shapes and weather-resistant finishes. This quality can be seen in their indoor lighting fixtures as well, but with softer looks that predominantly feature fabrics and etched glass instead of metal. Forecast is focused on bringing energy efficient, eco-friendly lighting to the industry as well. They've got some really streamlined contemporary LED lights, and most of their interior lighting designs offer fluorescent lamping options, always at competitive prices.
