The Fire Farm Story
Adam Jackson Pollock first got interested in lighting when he was handed a camera as a kid. That interest really blossomed with his exposure to theatrical lighting, and after meeting designer Benjamin Goldstone, the two launched Fire Farm in 1990. They worked together in Oakland until 2000 when Pollock moved the company to a larger workspace in Iowa.
There, Pollock works with a number of other designers to produce defining fixtures with an expanding variety of materials and processes.
Why We Love Fire Farm Lighting
There's no telling what will come out of Fire Farm--the combinations of materials, shapes, types... each piece is a work of art all on its own, and when like styles are combined, a room becomes a stunning arena of artistic illumination. The fixtures have a certain visual lightness, and their contemporary lighting fixtures are born out of a deep-rooted love for the industry. Fire Farm has a passion for residential and commercial custom lighting projects, too, unafraid to try new things in order to make a space stand out.
Fun Facts About Fire Farm
Fire Farm is highly involved in their town of Elkader, and to show honor for their sister city, Mascara, Algeria, owner Adam Jackson Pollock designed and produced twin peace poles inscribed with the Sister City's motto "May Peace Prevail" in English, French and Arabic for display in parks in Elkader and Mascara.
Noteworthy Lighting from Fire Farm
The Jak collection is one of Fire Farm's most distinctive designs, made of metal mesh in brass, copper or stainless steel.
