The Finell Story
After several years as the president and lead designer of Boon Inc. (specializing in award-winning children's products), Rebecca Finnel was ready to graduate on to designing products just as innovative and useful for adults. So she founded Finnel in 2014 to create what she calls neo luxe home furnishings and fashion accessories. Immediate acclaim for pieces like the Join Placemats and line of origami-like handbags shows that Finnel is on the right path, and poised to really shake things up in the world of contemporary design.
Why We Love Finell
"Great design is what drives every part of the Finell brand. We have no other agenda." - Rebecca Finell
Finell is where fine modern design is heading. There is something unexpected and exciting to be found in any and all Finell designs, whether in their form, materials, function or all three. It is for these qualities that Finell designs are aptly summed up as "neo luxe." Or, simply translated, new luxury. Finell tablemats, serveware, storage pieces, handbags and jewelry are all distinguished by uniquely geometric lines, simplicity of use and an often surprising mix of materials.
A Fun Fact About Finell
Finell home decor and accessories are so forward-thinking and futuristic that even Ziggy Stardust appreciates them. In October of 2014, Finnel was asked to supply several of their designs for sale in association with the "David Bowie Is" retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
Noteworthy Products by Finell
The Finell Join Placemats are uniquely textural, 3-dimensional pieces made out of easy-to-clean silicone. They also boast a modular design that lets you fit 2 or more together along their sides or end-to-end to create a seamless table runner.
