Blue Bath and Vanity Lights

When it comes to lighting a bathroom, a vanity light is one of the best and most effective options. Other lighting options include wall sconces and pendants, but these types of fixtures often provide only accent lighting from a wall or downward lighting from the ceiling. A vanity light mounts to the wall above or alongside a mirror and can contain many light sources, creating a full layer of illumination throughout the room. The light sources can be traditional incandescent bulbs LEDs, small energy-efficient diodes that can hide within the fixture and allow for more creative design options due to their size. When the type of fixture and the type of light source has been determined, there is one other factor to consider: color. The color of the fixture can range from neutral, which will complement the most styles in the space, or to a vibrant or muted color that can match or contrast with the space around it, creating an interesting look.

Blue vanity lights in particular can create a calming effect in the room. Many bathrooms can choose a nautical or watery theme and the blue of the fixture can match and complement this décor choice. Other options can be a lighter blue like a sky blue that can match the outdoors and bring a sense of nature inside if the bathroom has large windows.

Other Considerations

When deciding a specific vanity light, always measure the space it will go in. Like any other fixture, if it is too big or too small, it doesn’t matter what color or how many lights it has as the piece won’t work in the space.

If blue vanity lights are working well in the space, consider adding more blue light fixtures to complement the vanity light and to continue the trend into a full theme. Blue ceiling lights in particular can help keep this trend going as the eyes of any family and friends will look about the room, and make the connection between the color of the ceiling light and the color of the nearby vanity light.
