The Bacchus Glass Story
Originally based in New Orleans, the Bacchus Glass studio started in 1993 by husband and wife, Frank and Julie Cavaz. Frank Cavaz, the master glassblower, and Julie partner together in both design and manufacturing and eventually moved the company to the wine country--Sonoma County--to be closer to family and friends in 1996.
Why We Love Bacchus Glass Lighting
Every piece of Bacchus Glass lighting is custom made to order, which means it's guaranteed that you'll get a one-of-a-kind piece that was created with the designer's full attention. The fixtures are colorful and shapely, adding to their distinguished character. And since they're inspired by the glassblowing traditions of Italy, many of their contemporary lighting fixtures are named for Italian places or things (ex. "Roman", "Fiore", "Frenzi").
Fun Facts About Bacchus Glass
The name, Bacchus Glass, was inspired by the Roman god of wine and marries the company's New Orleans roots (Bacchus was the name of a parade there) with their new Sonoma County location.

The River Rock Wedge Pendant is a stunning example of what Bacchus can do with glass, its malformed, colorful design purposefully hanging slightly unparalleled to the floor.
