It all started here. The Emeco Navy Chair (aka the 1006 Chair) was the first piece Emeco ever made, commissioned in 1944 for use on Navy warships and submarines. The iconic piece has never been out of production, and is made today much like it was way back when. Using Emeco's signature "77 Step Process," recycled aluminum is hand-formed, welded, tempered for strength and, finally, anodized for a durable hand-brushed or hand-polished finish.

Based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Emeco is focused on making recycling passe by making furniture that will last forever and never go out of style. Collaborations with designers like Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry, Ettore Sottsass and Norman Foster have contributed greatly to that vision.
