The Planterworx Home collection focuses on three main types of metal: Corten Steel, Aluminum and Stainless Steel. Corten steel planters feature warm, rich textures not often associated with strong metal designs. Originally developed for bridge and skyscraper construction, this type of steel naturally rusts, resulting in a protective barrier that won't penetrate or compromise the structural integrity of the material. Depending on its location and climate, its reactive patina period will last roughly from 3 to 9 months, after which it will cure and self-seal itself with very little to no carbon runoff.

Aluminum options are available in powder coated or brushed finishes, perfect for urban roof terrace installations. They are lightweight and extremely durable--and are typically 70% recycled and 100% recyclable. Powder Coating allows for a finished product that avoids any evidence of brush strokes, a mixture of pigments and resin positively charged and sprayed onto a grounded planter and fused into a solid coating in a curing oven. This results in a unique, high quality durable finish.
