Loll Designs. Loll outdoor furniture came about in 2003 as a way to repurpose ramp material that was left over from the construction of municipal skate parks. It took three years of prototyping to produce their first line, the Adirondack collection. The bulk of Loll products are recycled high density polyethylene (HDPE), coming primarily from recycled milk jugs. The HDPE is processed into thick and smooth sheets, making it exceedingly durable and virtually maintenance free when made into furniture. Pigments are added while the sheets are being extruded, creating uniform, fade-resistant color throughout. Any brass inserts or stainless steel fasteners used are also recycled.
